The Chris Stapleton ‘Starting Over’ album has landed.
The Staffordsville, Kentucky native, Chris Stapleton, releases the seemingly ideal title for an album nearing 2020’s close, titled “Starting Over.”
Exactly 5 years ago in November, Chris Stapleton became significantly more of a household name after a performance at the CMA awards with Justin Timberlake. Alongside other wins on the same night, Stapleton was lifted to national prominence, although he had already been performing and writing songs for nearly 2 decades.
Nonetheless, Stapleton released his first solo album, Traveler, in May 2015. “Starting Over” becomes the fourth album in his solo catalog. However, you can find Stapleton‘s fingerprint on other well established acts such as Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, and also The SteelDrivers prior to him elevating as a solo artist. Nonetheless, Stapleton released his first solo album, Traveler, in May 2015. “Starting Over” becomes the fourth album in his solo catalog.
With this latest album, Stapleton penned or at least co-wrote 11 of the 14 songs on the album. Some people compare the Kentucky artist to Willie Nelson, with that uniting hippies and cowboys sort of vibe. As a matter of fact, Willie Nelson was set to open up for Chris Stapleton at the first concert in University of Kentucky’s football stadium, Kroger field.
For Kentuckians, I think most of us are wondering when that Chris Stapleton concert at Kroger Field is going to be rebooked, after cancellations due to the coronavirus.
