Chris Stapleton was scheduled to be the first ever concert at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky this April. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, the Concert for Kentucky, An Outlaw State of Kind Benefit has been postponed until April 2021. The new date for the concert is April 24, 2021.

Outlaw State of Kind is Chris and Morgane Stapleton’s charitable fund that supports a variety of causes that are close to their heart.  The Outlaw State of Kind Fund was founded in 2016 and is administered by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

For Kentucky native Chris Stapleton, the concert was an exciting honor. He was looking forward to being the first artist to perform on the University of Kentucky Kroger Football Field. Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and Yola still plan to join him in the 2021 concert. All purchased concert tickets for the Chris Stapleton concert will be honored.

Letter from Stapleton Family

To our Friends & Family in Kentucky,

While we’d love nothing more than to see you all at Kroger Field next month, it is with everyone’s best interest in mind that we are rescheduling A Concert For Kentucky to Saturday, April 24, 2021.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we’ve worked closely with the University of Kentucky and all artists involved to find the best date possible. We are excited to share that Willie Nelson & Family, Sheryl Crow, and Yola will all be performing on the rescheduled date.

Several Kentucky artists are dealing with concert cancellations and postponing events due to the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, the entire nation is mourning the recent death of Country Music legend Joe Diffie, and John Prine is currently hospitalized and in critical condition. To keep country music going, and everyone in the spirits, Kentucky artists such as Rye Davis (New EP Release Here) and Dillon Carmichael are participating in weekly Facebook and Instagram Live Concerts for all to enjoy!
