Kentucky Bourbon Tales, Distilling the Family Business Takes You Through the History of America’s Spirit
KET aired Kentucky Bourbon Tales on December 16, 2014. If you haven’t seen it, it’s certainly a must watch (full video below.) Whether you love Bourbon or not, the documentary captures a true essence of Kentucky’s spirit and hospitality. To this day, it’s still one of the best documentaries explaining the history of bourbon, and the very important faces behind it.

…Well we obviously don’t want to give it all away, but what we can tell you is that the KET documentary is a series of compiled interviews, including the stories behind the hardships, growth, and future of the bourbon industry. Master Distillers from several legendary Kentucky distilleries join in on conversations that have never been had before, showing how much the industry really is just like one big family.
Proving the same patterns from the past, the distilling industry always comes together during the hardest of times – such as producing hand sanitizer due to shortages (a more recent example.)
The spirit itself holds so much history. Even if one is not a bourbon lover, it may be persuasive enough to result in a visit to horse country, get a hankering for a Mint Julep, all while watching the Kentucky Derby.
