Bourbon inspired Hotel Distil has officially opened it’s door on Louisville’s Whiskey Row.
Located on Louisville’s revamped Whiskey Row, bourbon inspired Hotel Distil has officially opened, setting a high standard for Kentucky hospitality. Hotel Distil is part of the Autograph Collection Hotels portfolio of more than 180 hotels. The 205 room boutique property is the brand’s first in Kentucky, while also celebrating Louisville’s bourbon history. After the civil war, Main Street become a popular spot for Louisville distilleries. Whiskey row was on a list of “Louisville’s Most Endangered Historic Places.” Thankfully, developers and preservationists saved Whiskey Row from demolition.

The Hotel was the original location and bourbon barrel house for J.T.S Brown and Sons. Without a doubt, upon entering the hotel, the bourbon details are present. Furthermore, there are details of the Whiskey Row hotel include bourbon barrels, wooden decor, staves, and the distilling process property wide. Pre-Prohibition style light fixtures and glass blown features highlight Louisville’s glassblowing community.
