Native Kentuckian Sings Johnny Cash COVID-19 Parody
Kentucky natives Blue and Colleen Murphy wrote a song about COVID-19. They decided to do so by turning famous Johnny Cash song “Walk the Line” into a parody. The song “I Quarantine” describes what it feels like for many stuck in quarantine in a light hearted tune about its daily struggles.
The Johnny Cash COVID-19 song caught the eye of Governor Andy Beshear which was broadcasted during his now very well anticipated 5PM live daily briefings.
” My hands are chapped from washing all the time
I wear my mask each time I go outside
I hear a sneeze and I have to run and hide
COVID ONE-NINE, I quarantine”
