How was “Kindest State in America” determined?

Are you’re wondering how a conclusion could even be determined? It all started with surveys across all 50 states, with measurements on what acts of kindness Americans would actually do. Dr. Oliver Scott Curry, who is the research director for Kindness.org, outlined some of the questions asked during this study.

Topping the list of kindest acts people would actually be willing to perform included, becoming an organ donor for your family member, pulling a stranger from a burning car, and adopting and raising a family member. What would your personal response be to such significant questions?

More commonly, other acts of kindness were recorded such covering a shift for a work colleague, cheering up a family member, or just calling a friend to encourage them. I mean, we could all use a little motivation on life’s bumpy journey, right?
