A man from the Eastern, KY town of Ashland is making waves across social media after celebrating the holidays in his own unique manner. Kentucky Cousin Eddie was spotted joyfully clearing his driveway with his flamethrower. Instead of rushing out to pickup milk and bread during the sticking snow, we have an idea of what he may have picked up instead. Based on the snow cleared in his driveway, he may well have ran up to acquire as many propene fuel tanks rather. Beers could have been on the menu as well, based on the way he disposed of that spent can. We can’t blame him however, clearing a snowy driveway is tough work!
Some folks were commenting on the choice of tools, “some people use snow shovels, while others use flamethrowers!” We won’t comment on any safety codes that may or may not have been torched during the making. However, we certainly would like an invite to next year’s ultimate Kentucky Family Christmas. If not, perhaps we could borrow that infamous flamethrower for our next camping trip!
Word has it that Kentucky Cousin Eddie is contemplating launching a snow removal service — Browning Snow Services. No comment on whether they’ll sport company-issued bath robes or not as seen in his debut film. However, the slippers certainly do accessorize nicely nonetheless.
So for future reference, if you ever need a snowy driveway cleared and you’re in Eastern Kentucky, you know what to do! For the other areas of the state, take note. While you don’t have to dress up like Cousin Eddie from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” your video just might not go viral. There’s still seemingly lots of fun to be had, either way.
