More About the Kentucky Bourbon Festival
The Kentucky bourbon Festival began in 1991 as a simple Bourbon tasting dinner, which has grown into something much greater. 29 years later, it is one of Kentucky’s largest festivals. The spirit of bourbon began as settlers found that Kentucky had the perfect climate for distilling. The weather, fertile soil, and it’s popular and extremely pure naturally filtered limestone water made for the perfect combination.
The history behind bourbon is complex. The spirit and several of its distilleries have survived many obstacles, including prohibition.
