Hillbilly Days 2021 edition will not happen due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The annual Hillbilly Days 2021 event in Pikeville, KY has officially been canceled. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, officials have decided to cancel for a second time in a row.
Officials from the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Shriners and local representatives, to make the festival happen each year. The City of Pikeville and the PIke Country Health Department concluded that a Hillbilly Days 2021 cancelation was the appropriate safety measure for the community.
“For so many, Hillbilly Days is an annual event that represents community and fellowship, something we have all sorely missed over the last year,” said Philip Elswick, the Pikeville City Manager. “Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic is not over yet, and as a City, we must continue to protect every member of our community. Rest assured that we are making plans so that when health officials say it is safe to gather again, Pikeville will be the place to be for years to come.”

Concert & Lineup
The annual Kentucky festival in Pikeville typically features a free concert. The lineup includes music from a variety of genres, across 3 live stages. Other entertainment and performances include clogging and square dancing. Nonetheless, no matter who is performing, expect lots of picking and grinning and hillbilly outfits!

Hillbilly Days is an annual festival held in Pikeville, KY during mid-April. It is one of the largest festivals in the Commonwealth, attracting over 100,000 people to the Eastern Kentucky event. The attraction draws folks from across U.S., lining the streets of this small mountain town. This is a family friendly event, inviting to everyone from kids to adults.
