This limited release marks the first edition of the new Heaven Hill Heritage Collection. This collection showcases the distillery’s maturation excellence. Therefore, each spring bourbon collectors can expect a new edition of this highly limited annual bourbon release which contains some of Heaven Hills Distillery’s oldest aging whiskey.

The Heaven Hill 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Bourbon Whiskey release is the first edition to the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection. The collection is essentially a special annual release program featuring mature expressions. This one in particular features some of the oldest juice the Bardstown distillery has aging in its rick houses.

The Collection will feature one of the six traditional American Whiskey mashbills produced by Heaven Hill. The first edition features Heaven Hill’s Bourbon mashbill comprised of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, and bottled at a barrel proof of 118.2. With an age statement of 17 years, this release is made up of 28% 20-year-old barrels, 44% 19-year-old barrels, and 28% 17-year-old barrels pulled from Deatsville, Glencoe, Schenley, and Heaven Hill main campus warehouse locations. Each spring, the release will vary as older barrels are deemed worthy of bottling.

TheHeaven Hill 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Bourbon Whiskey is expected to hit shelves March, 2022. It will be available in a limited number of retailers through the brand’s current national distribution zone, as well as the Heaven Hill gift shop in Bardstown, KY.

TheHeaven Hill 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Heritage Collection bourbon release is bottled at 118.2 barrel proof. The118.2-proofing is the equivalent of 59.1% ABV. Therefore, expect long legs to form running down your bourbon tumbler for this one.
