Dillon Carmichael “Hose Water” brings nostalgia front and center!
Growing up in small town Kentucky, this song couldn’t be anymore on point. That’s just the way it was when we were growing up. This Dillon Carmichael “Hose Water” track hits home from “driving trucks at 15” to “chewing Red Man” for the first time, and definitely “taking a sip of that hose water!”
Our legal counsel warned us not to comment on using street signs for target practice, but did you ever take a drink straight from the water hose when you were a kid? Nostalgia is powerful, and that’s why this song is an instant classic.
This song is probably relatable to a lot of fellow Kentuckians and takes us back to simpler times. For most, taking a trip down memory lane to happier times is probably something we could all use right about now.
Hose Water was co-written by Dillon Carmichael, 90s country star Rhett Akins, Scooter Carusoe and Paul DiGiovanni. Rhett Akins is also the father of Thomas Rhett, and Carusoe has penned songs for the likes of Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift. Like many of Dillon’s recent releases, including radio single “Hot Beer,” this new song was also produced by Jon Pardi.
