Chris Stapleton performs with P!nk at 2019 CMA Awards

Kentucky native Chris Stapleton and P!nk couldn’t be more opposite when it comes to style and music genres. Nevertheless, the duo teamed up for an emotional performance of “Love Me Anyway” at the 2019 CMA Awards. The CMA Awards were hosted at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Stapleton and P!nk stood side by side performing her track off the Hurts 2B Human album.

The 2019 CMA Awards performances were nothing short of extraordinary. Undoubtedly, Chris Stapleton was nominated for three categories which included Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Single Record of the year for song “Millionaire.” The collaboration between pop and country joined forces at the 53rd annual 2019 CMA Awards.

This 2019 CMA Awards collaboration was the first televised performance of the song, however, the two previously performed the track together in May, during Pink’s concert at NYC’S Madison Square Garden.

Previously, P!nk was nominated for the 2017 CMA Musical Event of the Year Award for being featured on Kenny Chesney‘s “Setting the World on Fire.” 

Who would have ever thought that a gritty country voice would be such a hit when mixed with pop/rock genre? Pink wore her country best this years CMA Awards. She was sporting brown leather wide-brimmed hat, in addition to a red chiffon poncho – fitting right in with Stapleton’s signature cowboy hat, fringe jacket, and of course , his famous beard!

Chris Stapleton, originally from good ole’ Paintsville Kentucky has truly made a name for himself in the country music scene. His ongoing collaborations with outside country genre artists show his true passion for music as a whole. Now that’s what we call “Kentucky as all get out!”
