Corbin
Welcome to Corbin, y’all! Did you know that this charming Kentucky town was once sparsely settled and called Lynn Camp, named after a lost Virginian named William Lynn? Later, it was incorporated as Cummins after a local landowner. However, the U.S. Postal Department had other ideas and asked the postmaster to choose a new name – so it became Corbin, after a local minister.
Today, Corbin is a must-visit destination for any outdoor enthusiast, with breathtaking natural beauty, unique experiences, and fascinating history. Take a hike through Daniel Boone National Forest, go white water rafting, or explore the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken at Colonel Harland Sanders’ original cafe and museum. And when hunger strikes, choose from a range of delicious restaurants serving everything from southern-style home cooking to authentic Italian cuisine.
