Kentucky has some of the best horse racing in the world. The bluegrass, perfect weather, mineral limestone water, and talented trainers lend themselves to the perfect habitat horses need to excel. Kentucky is known to some of the greatest horse farms, breeders, and winning race legends. Importantly, we can’t forget about some of Kentucky’s greatest race tracks such as Churchill Downs and Keeneland. In addition, the KY Derby brings in close to 170,000 visitors a year! Apart from Derby, we hosted our first Breeder’s Cup in 2015. Keeneland plans to host the 2020 Breeders‘ Cup World Championships. This will will mark the second running of the event at Keeneland.
