Kentucky Horses

Horse Capital of the world – Kentucky. So many horses, so little time! Being that this is horse country, it only makes sense to take you on a ride through all of the horse activities that Kentucky has to offer. We are home to the Kentucky Derby, known as the fastest two minutes in sports. Horses play a large role in supplying Kentucky’s finest events, world class breeding, and tourism. Kentucky has some of the most beautiful horse farms in the world. We breed world class thoroughbreds and attract horse enthusiasts from countless nations. Kentucky is home to over four hundred and fifty horse farms many of which breed stud horses. Central Kentucky is considered an excellent place to raise horses because of the natural limestone in the area. Horse racing in Kentucky began on farms and tracks in the 18th century and is currently home to five through-bred race tracks.
