Kentucky is “Going Green” by breaking out their green Christmas lights. Governor Andy Beshear’s message to light Kentucky green will show that “We are all in this together.” Why are we using green ?- Green is the color of compassion.

The green lights illuminating Kentucky are a message meant to show everyones alliance and kindness during the Coronavirus outbreak in our nation. Every night, Beshear will be lighting the Frankfort State Capitol Mansion and its dome green. He has encouraged Kentuckian’s to do the same, showing respect for those that have passed.
Additionally, Beshear is also asking churches to ring their bells at 10 a.m. daily to show solidarity. Homes, bridges, fire departments, and many other local businesses are following the movement.
