Derby Bottle Artist
This Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby bottle is designed by Kentucky native,Jaime Corum. She is an equine artist, therefore stunning horse portraits are an area of focus for the painter. Is it us, or do these Derby bottle designs outdo themselves with each new year? Could you even pick a favorite?
Corum spent her youth exploring the fascinating nuances of horse shape and movement, fostering an appreciation that continued to bloom when she achieved a Masters of Fine Arts degree from The University Of Kentucky. Her specialty is transforming each equine artwork into something remarkable: beautiful in appearance with a spirited charm all its own!
The iconic Woodford Reserve Derby bottle has been revving up fans since 1999—making it one of the most sought-after collectibles by those who are both bourbon and racing enthusiasts alike.
It should be noted that Corum was behind the 2022 Derby bottle painting is titled “Dreams in Bloom” which featured three thoroughbreds that are racing neck-and-neck. This distinguished scene which showcased the race horses in an intense scenario also featuredd a background of vivid spring flowers, adding balance and elegance to the design. Of course that spray of flowers includes the iconic red roses of Derby, symbolizing the Run for the Roses.

However, there are a few great champions that all of those enthusiasts wish to reach someday.
Secretariat is a legendary thoroughbred and true champion: no one can come close to matching his impressive Triple Crown victory or record-breaking race times at the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont. He’s truly earned every bit of praise he continues to receive today!
“I hope that my painting for this year’s Woodford Reserve Derby bottle, “Still The Greatest,” allows us to remember that moment of dreamlike perfection when Secretariat won the 1973 Kentucky Derby,” Corum said. “ I have been honored to paint Secretariat many times over the years, but this one is truly special to me, as it celebrates his 50th anniversary and is paired with Woodford Reserve.
