Papa John Shoots “MTV Cribs” Style Mansion Tour on TikTok

On Tuesday, John Schnatter “Papa John”, Founder and former CEO of Papa John’s pizza empire posted a TikTok video of his massive estate. Schnatter named the first series of his video “Tour of Papa John’s Crib.” The Papa John’s Mansion, also known as the “Papa Castle” is located in Anchorage, Kentucky, a suburb of Louisville. The mansion sits on 16 acres of land and is worth $11 million. Additionally, last year, the property was reported as the most expensive in Louisville by USA Today.

Papa John’s Mansion TikTok Video (Part 1):

Schnatter’s part 1 controversial post is a 55 second video (shown below) capturing a few features of his home, where he show cases his peculiar sculpture of two eagles mating through the air while wearing his branded “Papa” merchandise.

“Eagles go up several thousand feet and mate all the way down. Right before they hit, they separate so they don’t get hurt or killed,” he says. “Perfect timing.” 

Schnatter then moves on to show viewers his library, a room right off the foyer where he writes letters and does a lot of his filming. As her opens the doors, he pulls a teaser telling viewers to come back for Part 2.

“Stay tuned, you gotta keep following. Maybe next time.” 

The Papa John’s mansion crib tour video has had over 1.1 million views since Tuesday. The video has caused controversy as many argue this is not the proper time to be flaunting million dollar lifestyles when many American’s are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
