Kentucky moves to 7-1 with win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
Kentucky comes out strong against Fairleigh Dickinson, going into the half with a 43-23 lead. The Wildcats were led by the frontcourt and a breakout performance by EJ Montgomery. He contributed 25 points and 9 rebounds, going 12 of 16 from the field. Nick Richards continues adding sold performances this season with another double-double night, 12 points and 10 rebounds. Keion Brooks even got into the action as well, with a 15 point, 10 rebound game himself.
EJ Montgomery was really the story of the game and his versatility was on full display as he was posting up, running the court, and hitting mid-range shots with that smooth jumper. He also picked up a steal and block to contribute on the defensive end.
After this game the Kentucky Wildcats move to a tougher section of their schedule with games against two Top 10 teams. Both of those teams actually happen to ranked higher than UK. They will face #6 Ohio State on December 21st, and #1 Louisville on December 28th.
