1. Miguel’s Pizza
Oh Miguel’s, everyone loves you. If you’ve never been, this is truly a special place of the gorge. The restaurant began in 1984 with a renovation of a 1940’s historic store, serving their infamous pizza and Italian style food. It is located in the perfect location across the street from the National Bridge State Park. Not only is Miguel’s famous for their pizza, but it is also known as a common camping spot, specifically among rock climbers. Importantly, climbers bring in an estimated $3.6 million to the six counties surrounding RRG. Miguel himself provided a hub for climbing to take off.
It reaches capacity every year, especially with spring breakers, and other tourists. No visit is complete without pizza.

Another fantastic spot of the RRG. A quaint looking log cabin home, nestled within the gorgeous mountains. Home to delicious food, local brews, and bluegrass music. Here you can find mouth watering Texas style BBQ right in Eastern Kentucky. The BBQ is smoked over hickory & oak for up to 12 hours. It’s certainly a local and visitor favorite. The process has been refined and all of the menu items give a truly unique and flavorful tasting experience. The secret is in the sauce. This is a frequent stop for not only locals, but hikers, and yearly tourists. Fuel up for a day on the trails with locally roasted coffee. Seasonal lattes, baked goods, sandwiches, breakfast wraps, beers, and cocktails are available daily. Additionally, the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop features a gift shop with souvenirs and local gifts to bring back home with you.
