Ohio traveled Lexington to face #13 Kentucky
The Ohio vs Kentucky basketball game was a home game in Rupp Arena for the Wildcats. A total of 19,045 fans packed Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY to see UK bball in action for the last game in the Kentucky Classic event.

The Kentucky basketball team would face their toughest game of the early season, since the opening matchup against Duke. The Ohio Bobcats are expected to be a NCAA tournament team, and they came into the game 3-0 in the early season.

The University of Kentucky vsOhio basketball final game score was 77-59. Although the Wildcats got off to a slow start, they fought back and closed the game with a commanding performance!

The Wildcats got down early in this game in more ways than one. In the first minutes of the game, the leading rebounder in the country, OscarTshiebwe, picked up two fouls. He would go to the bench for the majority of first half, but still managed to pickup double-digit rebounds in the second half alone. He would finish the game with limited minutes, but still squeezed out a 10-rebound performance.
Nonetheless, with Oscar Tshiebwe on the bench, we would get a chance to see what the UK bball team would look like with various different lineups being forced to get it done. Both Keion Brooks Jr. and TyTy Washington Jr. would step up to have big nights. Brooks was the high scorer for the Cats with 22 points, and Washington would turn it up to pour in 20 points. TyTy would really step up in the second half to pull away from Ohio.
With 22 points and 8 rebounds, Keion Brooks Jr. would put up one of the best performances of his career. He poured in a lot of mid-range jumpers, going 9-of-18 from the floor. TyTy Washington Jr. would also have a season high outing, posting a double-double. He scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor, while adding 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the game.Davion Mintz nearly posted a double-double of his own, scoring 12 points with 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
One silver lining with Oscar on the bench was Bryce Hopkins’ performance. He added a solid night with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Moreover, a much needed spark in the first half when the Wildcats frontcourt seemed to need it most.
