Carter Whitt from their backcourt was forced to wear a boot on his right leg after sustaining a rolled ankle during the shootaround. Nonetheless, just as Wake Forest looked like they were going to make it a game, the Cardinals responded.
As for individual play, Carlik Jones scored a season-high 23 points for Louisville. He grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double, while dishing out 3 assists. Teammate Samuell Williamson added 15 points of his own, while pulling down 11 rebounds. Dre Davis got 15 points to add offensive firepower for the Cards.

The University of Louisville basketball ranking currently stands at #16 in the AP Top 25. Their record moves to 10-1 overall, with a 4-0 start to conference play. The puts them in a tie with Virginia for the top spot in the ACC thus far. This marks the best start for the Cardinals since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference in the 2014-15 season. Looking back further, the program is off to its best start since going 8-0 in conference play in the Big East during the 2008-09 season.
