Mountain Dew Doritos: A Combo We Seriously Need to Get Our Hands On

Mountain Dew Doritos

What happens when Doritos and Mountain Dew Team up for a Collaboration?

Well.. you get a weirdly satisfying combination known as Mountain Dew Doritos. Doritos and Mountain Dew have been an iconic and popular snack duo for a very long time. Now, these limited edition Doritos take on the flavor of the unique citrus flavored soda.

Unfortunately, Mountain Dew Doritos are not available in United States, but have been seen in Australia exclusively. Whether this is good or bad judgment, Kentuckians are known to love their good ole’ Mountain Dew, some even drink it in the mornings as a coffee replacement due to its high caffeine content.

Interesting Facts About Mountain Dew:

Mountain Dew was started by Tennessee bottlers Barney and Ally Hartman as a mixer in the 1940’s. The Hartmans had a hard time obtaining their preferred soda to mix with liquor (which was whiskey) so they decided to develop their own. Originally, Mountain Dew was a 19th century term for Highland Scotch Whiskey. The name was trademarked for the soft drink in 1948. Today, Mountain Dew has many different flavors, bottle options, energy drinks, and now – Doritos!

Sadly we can’t get to try these interesting chips for ourselves just yet. However, we do hope to get Doritos to send us a sample, and maybe enough attention to make them available for the Kentucky market to try! Hoping for the best.
