Thanksgiving map shows each state’s most-searched recipes.

With the help of a recent study and Google data, the most searched thanksgiving recipes have been revealed. While most most states are sticking to classic Thanksgiving recipes (such as roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes,) Kentucky is craving some good ole’ fried turkey. It looks like Kentucky likes their Turkey the same way they like their chicken – fried!

*Pro Tip If you plan on deep frying a turkey this year, check out the video below. Deep-frying a turkey is dangerous. Many first-timers fill the fryer with too much oil, or attempt to fry a turkey that isn’t entirely thawed. U.S. fire departments respond to more than 1,000 fires each year.

Roasted Turkey was the most searched thanksgiving recipe overall. Salads and dressing were second, each being the most-searched recipe in six states. Deviled eggs won in four states, and casseroles (green bean and cord) won in the midwest states.

When it comes to dessert, sweet treats such as brownies were searched for almost as much as pumpkin pie. Overall, pie was a clear favorite. Kentucky stood out again with a less common search of Apple Fritters.
