The Cardinals traveled to Durham, NC for their Saturday 27, 2021 matchup against the Blue Devils. The game was a barn burner, going into overtime. The final Louisville vs Duke basketball score would end at 80-73.
Louisville jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first half of play. However, Duke would claw their way back in the second half with 12:03 remaining in the game. From that point onward, control of the game would bounce back and forth.
The Louisville basketball team was led by a 25-point offensive performance by Carib Jones. He also pulled down 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Samuell Williamson added a double-double for the Cards, putting up 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jae’Lyn Withers had a 16-point night of his own, to help UofL power past the Blue Devils.
As for Duke, Matthew Hurt has a career night. He carried the Blue Devils with a huge 37-point performance, adding 7 rebounds as well.
The Cards avenge their loss to Duke earlier in the season in Louisville, KY, splitting the season series. With this win, UofL moves off of the bubble for now at least.
