The Kentucky vs South Carolina basketball game was certainly not a top performance by the Wildcats. However, they all played their part, and showed they have the fortitude to pull out a win even when facing adversity.

UK came into the game as the No. 5 ranked team in the country, continuing their push for towards what will be a heated battle for the SEC Championship and more importantly, March Madness.
The UK vs South Carolina basketball game was a physical game. Moreover, a game where the Gamecocks out-rebounded the Wildcats, especially on the offensive boards. This are two stats that Kentucky usually crushes their opponents.
Oscar Tshiebwe led Kentucky in scoring, going 9-of-12 shooting from the field to produce 18 points on the night. He also added 14 rebounds, for his 18th double-double of the year, which ranks him second nationally in that individual statistic. The offensive output was a team effort nonetheless, with six Wildcats scoring double digits. Keion Brooks Jr., TyTy Washington Jr., Kellan Grady, Jacob Toppin, and Davion Mintz all produced double-digits scoring for UK.
One Wildcat that has been turning it on of late is Keion Brooks Jr. who did a little bit of everything against South Carolina. He had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in what is becoming a more consistent output for the junior forward.
The Wildcats shot 34-of-60 from the floor, and 6-of-15 from behind the arch. That equals 56.7% from the field shooting, and40% from behind the three point line. The Cats shot a lackluster percentage from the charity stripe, going 12-19 at 63.2%.
Kentucky moves to 20-4 on the season, and 9-2 in the Southeastern Conference standings, while South Carolina is 13-10, and 4-7 in league play.
