The other transfer guard, Davion Mintz, led all Wildcats in assists. This was his second straight game with four dimes, adding two assists as well.

The Kentucky Wildcats basketball program found a little fight and rallied back in the second half. During this run, UK outscored the Irish 37-16. With the final plays coming down to the wire, the Cats somehow found themselves down only 64-63. The Fighting Irish coughed up the ball and committed a foul, which gave Kentucky one last shot to pull off the comeback. Nonetheless, Olivier Sarr missed a game-winning jumper in the corner and Notre Game escaped with the win.

The Kentucky basketball team has started the 2020-2021 season on the wrong foot, but we’ll see if they can correct course. This has been the worst start in 20 years for the UK program.
