Kentucky Basketball Ranking in Top 10 for AP Top 25
The University of Kentucky Wildcats and college basketball moves closer towards the start of the season, albeit with a short way runway ahead of them. The AP top 25 rankings for men’s basketball have just been released. The Kentucky basketball ranking is a Top 10 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll.
The Kentucky Wildcats land inside the Top 10 in this preseason poll. To UK fans, who view success as a National Championship not a #10 ranking, the program hasn’t been ranked this low in nearly a decade. During the 2010-2011 season, the Wildcats started the season ranked #11. This year’s preseason ranking is also somewhat ironic since Kentucky entered the season with the top-ranked recruiting class.
Nonetheless,Nonetheless, the caps of the highest ranked team in the SEC, followed by the University of Tennessee at #12. Other SEC teams such as LSU, Florida, Alabama, and Auburn all received votes, however not enough to crack the Top 25 just yet. As it relates to other teams on upcoming Kentucky basketball schedule, Kansas lands at #6, Texas is at #19, and UCLA is #22.
