Kentucky pulls away in the second half against Mount St Mary’s.
Nick Richards has another strong showing leading Kentucky to an easy victory over Mount St Mary’s. Richards had 19 points while shooting 7 for 10 from the field. He also shot 5 for 6 from the free throw line while adding 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
EJ Montgomery returned to action after missing a majority of the games thus far this season and added 7 points, 6 rebounds, with 15 minutes of play. Immanuel Quickley also saw a return to action after missing the prior game. Quickley added a 13 point effort while hitting 3 of 4 from the three point line, where Kentucky has been struggling significantly. The Wildcats were able to turn that around in the second half to finish the game 6 of 15 for a 40% effort.
Ashton Hagans had another solid game with a 16 point effort, adding 7 assists and 7 rebounds. Hagans was 6 for 6 from the free throw line, where the entire team has been performing strongly for a majority of the season. The Wildcats are averaging 80% from the stripe for the season.
