The Florida vs Kentucky basketball game was a decisive win for Cats. Nonetheless, it still came with its losses of sorts. Another game, another Wildcat leaves the game and does not return due to an injury. Today it was TyTy Washington Jr. who left the game with a lower leg injury.

UK came into the game as the No. 5 ranked team in the country, continuing their push for towards what will be a heated battle for the SEC Championship and more importantly, March Madness. Kentucky finished the game taking care of the ball, with only 5 turnovers in the game. The Wildcats struggled over the last couple of games in the rebounding area ironically. However, in this UK vs Florida game, the Cats would rip down 16 offensive rebounds to correct that slide.
Oscar Tshiebwe led Kentucky in scoring, on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor to produce a game-high 27 points. He added 18 rebounds as well, for his 19th double-double of the year, which ranks him second nationally in that individual stat. The majority of the offensive output would come from four Wildcats scoring double digits. TyTy Washington Jr., Kellan Grady, and Davion Mintz all produced double-digits scoring for UK.
The Wildcats shot 31-of-67 from the floor, and 10-of-27 from behind the arch. That equals 46.3% from the field shooting, and37% from behind the three point line. The Cats shot a lackluster percentage from the charity stripe, going 6-9 at 66.7%.
Kentucky moves to 21-4 on the season, and 10-2 in the Southeastern Conference standings, while Florida is 16-8.
