Check Out a Map of Each State’s Favorite Christmas Dessert

There’s no arguing that dessert is the best part of every meal. Honestly, there is nothing like a delicious holiday dessert to get you into the Christmas spirit. This year, Zippia used Google Trends to determine was holiday treat each state looked for the most.

How did the Favorite Christmas Dessert by State Survey Work?

Over 40 classic desserts were studied. The list included everything from stocking stuffer peppermint flavored treats to our classic cakes and cookies. Next, the desserts that were searched for (most excessively) were recorded. Surprisingly, the results turned out to be very CHEESEY.

What is the 2020 Favorite Christmas Dessert Winner?

This year, everyone seems to be really loving their cheesecake. According to Zippia, it was the one sweet treat that surprisingly stood out over the rest of the U.S. Pudding, a Kentucky favorite came in second place.

  • 9 States adore cheesecake during the holidays
  • 20 states love cakes, while 12 love candy, and 10 are all about the cookie life
  • Pennsylvania and Hawaii were all about gingerbread and oreo cheesecake
  • Surprisingly, California and Missouri had the most searches for “Vegan Christmas Cookies”

Although The Bluegrass State may have been doing a lot of searches for pudding this year, we’re certainly famous for many other desserts such as Kentucky Derby Pie and Kentucky Butter Cake.
