The E. H. Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon Chris Stapleton Charity Bottle is an Instant Unicorn
For Bottled in Bond Day 2021, EH Taylor and Chris Stapleton have announced a bourbon release surely to grab some headlines. The Chris Stapleton x EH Taylor Single Barrel Bottled in Bond bourbon charity release ties everything together.
Stapleton is a bourbon fan, and he has a personal affinity with the E.H. Taylor Jr. brand. He states, “The first glass of E. H. Taylor, Jr. I ever had was in the studio. Vance Powell, engineer of both music & good times, brought a bottle to the session for inspiration. That week we recorded an entire album, and that album was Traveller. We’ve made it a point to keep a bottle around ever since.”
Buffalo Trace Distillery and it’s E.H. Taylor Jr. brand have announced a collaboration to help benefit disaster relief. The limited edition bottle release and the funds it raises will go to help relief efforts in Texas and Kentucky.
Bourbon Auction for Charity
The 124th Anniversary of Bottled in Bond Day commemorates the release. This is a charity bottle which will not be distributed to retail liquor stores, sure to have collectors attention.
While Buffalo Trace didn’t share much in the details of this particular release, we do know the first offerings are being auctioned away starting today. The proceeds of those auctions will go to support relief efforts underway in Texas and Kentucky. Texas endured a brutal winter storm, while the Appalachian region of Kentucky is currently flooded. Any additional funds that are raised will benefit Chris Stapleton’s charity, named Outlaw State of Kind.
Joshua Steely, who is the brand director of E.H. Taylor, Jr. states, “we’ve very excited to partner with Chris Stapleton and Outlaw State of Kind.” He goes on to say, “we knew Chris was a big fan of E. H. Taylor, Jr., so we thought this was a perfect way to commemorate Bottled in Bond Day, by partnering with his charitable fund so fans of both his music and our bourbon can help out needy causes across the country through the various events and auctions that will be held throughout the year.”
With nearly 14 days left in the first auction, the limited bourbon release is already fetching around $8,000. However, that price tag is likely to climb much higher.
Limited Release
This E.H. Taylor limited release will feature less than 100 bottles. Each of these bottles are signed by country music singer Chris Stapleton himself. As for the bourbon, it has a 9-year old age statement. Being that it is Bottled in Bond, it sits at the required 100 proof rating.
