Dillon Carmichael Son of A Album Release Concert

Manchester Music Hall Concert on Friday, October 22, 2021 – Tickets Below

Kentucky native Dillon Carmichael has been hard at work in the studio, as well as returning to live shows. All of that hard work is paying dividends as he’s set to release his sophomore album “Son Of A” this week on Friday October, 22nd. On that same day, fans will also be able to see a Dillon Carmichael concert as he officially debuts the album.

Earlier in the week, he was featured at Nashville’sprestigious Grand Ole Opry. Just to step inside the circle on this coveted stage is a life-long dream for most musicians. The Queen of Country Music, Loretta Lynn, once stated, “when you go on the ‘Opry’ it’s absolutely a different feeling, and it’s something that you never feel again.”

One of the songs he played was his latest single off the upcoming album, also titled “Son Of A.” He brought out a surprise guest, his motherBecky Montgomery, foran emotional performance which caused the crowd to erupt, giving him a standing ovation.

He closed out the huge performance and rushed off stage to hit the road for his next performance. So quickly in fact, that legendary Grand Ole Opry announcer and host, Bill Cody, had to give Dillon a reminder on the way out. “Hey man, stand there and soak that up, they’re too hard to come by.”

Dillon has been on a tear of late however, writing his little piece of history for a long line of musicians in his family tree. Part of that was co-writing a song for Travis Tritt’s latest album even. Since releasing hiscritically acclaimed 2018 debut, Hell On An Angel, he’s toured and played shows with everyone fromLynyrd Skynyrd, Trace Adkins, Dwight Yoakam, Jon Pardi, Justin Moore, and even opened up for Hank Williams Jr., or Bocephus as you may know him by.

Albert Benjamin “Happy” Chandler, Sr. once famously said, “I never met a Kentuckian who wasn’t either thinking about going home or actually going home.” For Dillon, being on the road nonstop certainly has its pros and cons. However, perhaps one of the the best parts of going away for a vacation even, is the refreshing part of coming home again.

The “Son of A” album is a love letter to my Kentucky roots and upbringing.
