The news of offering beer, wine, and mimosas is quite exciting to many American’s.

The Cracker Barrel chain plans to sell alcohol in 20 locations, with plans to expand alcohol sales to even more locations shortly. The alcohol will be limited to beer, wine, and of course, the brunch favorite – mimosas.

Will Kentucky Cracker Barrel Restaurants Sell Alcohol?

The test markets allowing to serve beer and wine vary by state and by city. For instance, in Kentucky, Shelby County Cracker Barrel has applied for their liquor license. The application will need to be approved by the Shelbyville Alcohol Beverage Control Board before allowing beer and wine in stores. We will just have to be patient with this one, and see if our local Kentucky Cracker Barrel will be part-taking in the experiment. In Tennessee, the Dickson Cracker Barrel was approved for an on-premises beer permit by the city beer board Monday night as part of the Middle Tennessee-based restaurant chain’s test of offering alcoholic beverages. The tests in the Florida market have been “surprisingly popular” according to CEO, Sandra Cochran.

In addition to beer, wine, and mimosa options, there are a few other new items being added to the menu which include the fried pork chops and chicken pot pie.

More About Cracker Barrel:

Dan W. Evins opened the first Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on September 19, 1969, located on Highway 109 in Lebanon, TN. Everyone was extremely happy with the cooking, and by 1977, Evins and his investors who were mostly local friends decided to open 13 more stores from Kentucky to Georgia. The company did so well, that it then made it’s way to become a publicly traded. Cracker Barrel is now worth $1 Billion, and has over 420 locations!
