Chicken Cock Master Distiller’s Pick Release Date Set For November
Grain & Barrel Spirits, the company behind Chicken Cock Master Distiller’s Pick suggests that it will be set to be released in November 2020. Bourbon hunters will be able to find the newly released 15 Year whiskey on shelves in Kentucky for around the $300 price point.
For those enthusiasts who are always looking for rare bottles and the newest bourbon gear, this bourbon release will include 1,350 bottles which equates to around 10 barrels of juice. The mash bill of this Chicken Cock product is 78.5% corn, 13% rye, and 8.5% of malted barley. This whiskey was distilled by Master Distiller Gregg Snyder and bottle without chill filtration.
Master Distiller’s Pick is bottle at barrel proof which comes in at 114 proof. It is also the first age-stated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the Chicken Cock brand to date.
Chicken Cock began its journey way back in the year of 1856 in Paris, Kentucky, tucked away in the heart of Bourbon County. However, the brand rose to popularity during the 19th century as it became a popular staple during the Prohibition-era speakeasies. One of those famous venues was the Cotton Club, where it was smuggled inside with nondescript tin cans. For anyone who has looked over a bottle still today, this will ring a bell as the company still uses these tin shot glasses to cover the cork. More recently, Chicken Cock has continued to move forward with product development, recently announcing collaborations with Bardstown Bourbon Company. Within that Collaborative Distilling Program, 616 barrels have been produced in its first efforts.
