Albany comes to Rupp to face #10 Kentucky Wildcats
The Albany vs Kentucky basketball game was a home game in Rupp Arena for the Wildcats. A total of 18,201 fans showed up at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY to see the UK bball game on Monday night.

The Kentucky basketball team would be coming off their second toughest game of the early season, even though they won handily by 18 against the Ohio Bobcats. On a down note, the injured reserve list for the Wildcats keeps increasing. Fredricks is out for the season, Toppin and Ware have been spotty throughout the first few games, and now Mintz was added to the list for this game.

The University of Kentucky vsAlbany basketball final game score was 86-61. Although the Wildcats won the game by a significant margin, it wasn’t a flawless outing for certain. UK had a lot of turnovers to start the game, and their play was somewhat sloppy regardless of the scoreboard.

Albany would come out in this game with the strategy to use their physicality and slow the game down against the Wildcats who like to run. That allowed the Great Danes to keep the game within single digits for around 25 minutes, but they just couldn’t keep that pace in their control. UK led by as many as 26 points in the game, before the final buzzer sounded with a 25 point margin victory.
TyTy Washington put together a great scoring performance, posting his second consecutive 20-point game. All five starters managed 12-plus points in the game, for an evenly distributed contribution from everyone.
The Wildcats shot 32-of-59 from the floor, and outrebounded Albany 48-24 in another dominate performance on the glass. Oscar Tshiebwe led the Cats with 14 rebounds on the night, becoming the first SEC player since Ben Simmons to grab at least 80 boards in a 5-game span.
