Passing the Torch – A Taste of Kentucky Has a New Colonel!
In a heartfelt farewell, John and Sherry Hassmann, the beloved owners of Middletown’s favorite business A Taste of Kentucky, have passed the torch to a new captain of the ship. Time waits for no one, and after many wonderful years, it was time for the Hassmanns to embrace a new chapter.

Stepping into their shoes is the dynamic and enthusiastic Karen Taylor, who shares the same vision and passion for this cherished community hub. The transition was smooth, and the keys to A Taste of Kentucky were officially handed over last month.
A Taste of Kentucky is renowned for its fabulous selection of locally-made crafts, delectable treats, stunning artwork, and delightful home goods. It’s a treasure trove of Kentucky pride and creativity!

While the pandemic forced some changes, with operations consolidated to one store off Shelbyville Road, fear not! Taylor vows to preserve the magic that made this establishment such a beloved part of the community. And let’s just say, the reception has been nothing short of fabulous!
