Since 1997, makers Mark Distillery and Keeneland race course have collaborated on a limited edition bottle to raise money for worthy causes across Kentucky. For the third year in a row, the 2023 Keeneland Maker’s Mark bottle will feature three commemorative bottles.

2023 Keeneland Maker’s Mark Bottle Commemorative Series
In years past, there was a bottle signing at Keeneland which also coincides with the Maker’s Mark Mile race. This year’s commemorative line features label designs by three incredible artists: Sandra Oppegard, Andre Pater, and Tyler Robertson. Each design depicts a champion jockey from the 2022 Breeders’ Cup World Championships held at Keeneland, making for a beautiful tribute to these talented athletes. With three distinct styles to choose from, these bottles are sure to turn heads on your bar cart. Cheers to art and horse racing coming together in an unforgettable way!
Each label is not only signed by the artist who created the design, but also by Keeneland’s President and CEO, Shannon Arvin, and Eighth Generation Whisky Maker, Rob Samuels. Proceeds Benefit LexArts, “Horse Mania” Project
The Loretto, KY bourbon distillery said in their release that the sales from this year’s collaboration that the proceeds will benefit LexArts and its work for community projects. LexArts is a cultural development fundraising organization that focuses on cultural development in central Kentucky.
This year’s commemorative bottle release is giving back to the community in a unique way. By teaming up with LexArts, the cultural development powerhouse of greater Lexington, a permanent public art legacy project will be established. But this isn’t just any ordinary art project. Miniature bronze horses will be scattered throughout downtown Lexington, creating an interactive tour that tells the stories of Kentucky’s rich cultural past and present. Get ready to explore the city and immerse yourself in its vibrant culture!

Where to Buy
This Makers Mark limited edition bottle release will be available across select liquor stores and other retailers in the greater Lexington, Kentucky area. There won’t be any exclusive signing events or secret locations where you can snag it early. Check with your local liquor stores for more information on distribution. Most stores that receive distribution on this release should also receive all three bottles. That’s if someone hasn’t gotten the one you wanted first. Good luck hunting!
Release Date & Availability
This commemorative bottle release goes on sale starting on April 7th, 2023. The number of bottles going into distribution for this allocate release is less than 10,000 total bottles. However they usually get snapped up in a single day.

The Maker’s Mark® Bourbon Keeneland Commemorative Bottle Collection is available in a 750ml bottle, and has an MSRP of $65.
This bottle collection is for charity with it’s suggest retail pricing is officially set for $65. However, with limited distribution, it’s yet to be determined what kind of secondary price we’ll see on this collector’s bottle.
